Taking pictures of fly fishing is a personal project. Fly fishing has been a fundamental part of my life since I was born. It has taken me around the world from my origin waters of the highlands of Scotland, to remote regions of East and West Africa, uninhabited Indian Ocean atolls, the wilds of South Africa, Australia and the USA. Fly fishing for me goes way beyond the act of catching fish, it has connected me with remote cultures all over the world and forged deep bonds with people from every walk of life. Fly fishing has been the force that has bound me to the ecosystems in which I live, and with fish acting as a canary in the cage for wider biodiversity, keen observation reveals much about the health of our environment.

In 2017 I was awarded as Leica Fieldsports Photographer Of The Year: Fly Fishing Catergory
